“Nos Vamos al Mundial!” With those four electrifying words, the unmistakable voice of fútbol icon Andrés Cantor pulses through the streets of New York, blasting from a 27-foot truck crowned with sixteen booming speakers. The vehicle? The Buchamión. A kinetic, music-fueled tribute to Latino spirit, fútbol pride, and Buchanan’s bold entry as the Official Whisky Supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in North America.

With less than a year to go before the world’s most-watched sporting event arrives on U.S. soil, Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky is going beyond sponsorship; it’s orchestrating a celebration. A celebration of culture. Of rhythm. Of la comunidad.

The Pregón Gets a Remix

Inspired by the pregoneros of Latin America, those vibrant trucks known for rolling through barrios with speakers blaring out local deals and announcements, the Buchamión brings that familiar energy and transforms it into a rolling, roaring party.

Featuring original artwork by the beloved creative collective Kids of Immigrants, the truck’s exterior is draped in bold colors and fútbol symbolism. Inside, it’s all beat and bass, carrying the sounds of celebration across city blocks.

But at the heart of the Buchamión is a singular, emotional crescendo: a new custom chant recorded by Andrés Cantor himself.

“I’ve been calling fútbol matches for the last 40 years, so to me, it is more than just a game – it’s emotion, passion, and part of my Argentinean identity that moves me every time I make a goal call! And to see it resonate so deeply with fans from around the world, Spanish-speaking or not, is incredible,” said Cantor. “Lending my voice to Buchanan’s for this chant, the Buchamión and this celebration is another way for me to show off what makes Latino fútbol culture special and share that spirit of the game with fans.”

The chant “Nos Vamos al Mundial de la FIFA 2026™!” is a remixed version of the familiar celebratory cry that fans across Latin America shout when their nation earns its place in the tournament. Now Buchanan’s is giving it its signature twist, turning the streets into stadiums and neighborhoods into goal celebrations.

From Queens to Beats: A Day Fueled by Fútbol and Fiesta

On Sunday, July 13, the Buchamión roared through Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, stopping at hotspots like Flushing Meadows Park, El Basurero, and BK Backyard Bar. It wasn’t just a marketing campaign; it was a surprise-and-delight spectacle.

Fans were treated to free merch, booming beats, and even unannounced appearances from Cantor himself. In one of the day’s standout moments, a crowd of twelve fútbol superfans took turns holding the longest “¡GOOOOOOOOL!” call—vying for something far more than bragging rights: tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

As dusk fell, the Buchamión transformed once again, this time into a stage. Colombian DJ Pope lit up the night with a surprise performance, fusing fútbol, music, and culture into a mobile block party that could only be describedas unapologetically Latino and unmistakably Buchanan’s.

A Toast to Culture and Contenders

For Buchanan’s, the celebration isn’t just about being loud. It’s about being authentic.

“As the Official Whisky Supporter in North America of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Buchanan’s is proud to celebrate the Latino way of watching, feeling, and living fútbol,” said Linda Lagos-Morales, Brand Director, Buchanan's Scotch Whisky. “From New York to across the nation and beyond, we’re bringing the Buchamión to fans so that they can experience the game with rhythm, energy, and unmistakable Buchanan’s flair, making it the go-to spirit for fútbol season.”

That flair is expanding beyond the streets and into homes, devices, and celebrations. Whether you’re dancing in the crowd or streaming from your sofa, Buchanan’s wants fans to bring el ritmo Latino into every FIFA World Cup moment.

Dance, Cheer, Win

Buchanan’s is now challenging fans aged 25 and above to showcase their passion by entering the Buchanan’s x FIFA World Cup 2026 Dance Contest. All it takes is your best goal celebration dance. Seven winners will score up to four tickets to a U.S. group stage match and a $6,500 e-gift card. The contest is open through February 28, 2026.

The Buchamión isn’t stopping in New York. Its next destination? Mexico City, before making its way to five major U.S. host cities: Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and Chicago.

Not a dancer? No problem. Fans can still raise a toast to their team with a Buchanita, a vibrant whisky cocktail tailor-made for match day.

From chants to cheers, goal celebrations to block parties, Buchanan’s is rewriting the way we prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Loud, proud, and Latino to the core, this is more than a marketing campaign; it’s a cultural movement on wheels. ¡Nos Vamos al Mundial!
