Some collaborations are predictable. This one is not. Rare Beauty, founded by Selena Gomez, and Tajín, the chili-lime seasoning beloved across kitchens and street carts, have fused their worlds into a limited-edition drop: the Rare Beauty x Tajín Cheek & Lip Set. Launching today, August 21, exclusively on Sephora.com and RareBeauty.com, the $30 set draws on the unmistakable hues of Tajín Clásico Seasoning and Tajín Chamoy Sauce, translating spice into shimmer, and flavor into flush. Supplies are limited.
“This collab is a celebration of what makes us unique, our culture, our energy, and the moments that bring us together,” said Selena Gomez, founder of Rare Beauty. “Just like Tajín, these shades bring boldness, warmth, and a spark of joy to every occasion.”
Luis Alfaro, Head of Marketing for Tajín USA, echoed that sentiment. “As a brand that celebrates the uniqueness of our fans, we’re thrilled to see Tajín’s signature colors and the joy of sharing come to life in such a fresh and unexpected way. This collaboration with Rare Beauty goes beyond colors. It’s about the values we share: confidence, authenticity, creativity, joy, and the power of bringing people together. It’s our way of inspiring fans to express themselves boldly and freely. Just like we say: My Way to Tajín It.”

The set includes two full-size exclusives designed to capture Tajín’s vibrancy in wearable form. Rare Beauty’s bestselling Soft Pinch Liquid Blush arrives in Chamoy, a fiery deep red-brown shade that blends seamlessly for a radiant finish. The new Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss in Clásico debuts in a rich terracotta with copper and gold shimmer, leaving lips drenched in shine and hydration. Both products are cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, dermatologist-tested, suitable for sensitive skin, and non-comedogenic. Inspired by Tajín’s colors, they are not edible.
The partnership extends beyond the makeup bag. Rare Beauty is pledging support to the Escuela Nacional de Cerámica (National School of Ceramics) to help preserve Mexican artistry, while also funding The Rare Impact Fund, which expands youth access to mental health services worldwide. In this way, the collaboration reflects both brands’ commitment to culture, identity, and community impact.
Pairing a beauty brand with a seasoning staple may seem unexpected, but the logic runs deeper. Both Rare Beauty and Tajín trade in boldness, identity, and joy, whether it’s the flush of color on skin or the kick of chili on fruit. Together, they’ve created a drop that embodies cultural pride while riding the wave of limited-edition collaborations that blur the lines between lifestyle, food, and fashion.
The Rare Beauty x Tajín Cheek & Lip Set is available now at Sephora.com and RareBeauty.com for $30. Like the seasoning packets that inspired it, it’s meant to be shared, but only while supplies last.
In a marketplace flooded with collaborations, this one doesn’t just sell makeup. It packages culture, spicy, radiant, and fleeting.
